3500 mile update

A couple months as Mini driver

So I got the Mini at the end of August, and after a brief break in period, took it on a road trip to New Mexico. It seemed big at first, but shrank a little after about five hours laden with luggage and a passenger. However, it had no problem toting four people around - taller people in back, and established itself as a true mountain goat running around the hills near Los Alamos.
Nimble in traffic, always plenty of road around corners, but the DSC flickers on earlier than I would think, which makes me react, stop and think about what's happening, rather than focusing on the corner.
A few nits to pick - the height adjustment lever catches my pants leg almost every time when I get out and the cup holders are reasonably useless. Little storage for CDs - sure, the door pockets seem like the logical place, but they rattle like crazy there, especially when playing anything with significant bass to it. The tan leather looks real good, but may be hard to keep clean.
And a clunking - I may crawl under and see what's making the CLACK CLACK sound on deceleration.
Gas milage has been as expected,
Overall, no regrets, a blast to drive, a great commuter car and easy to park . Plus, it looks good.
Since I'm getting no bonus this year, I may have to wait on the Works package, but I'm also considering other options, performance wise.
