A birthday gift

For my birthday, my favorite wife gifted me with a copy of Motoring: Getting the Maximum from Your New Mini.

The heavy disclaimer at both ends of the book is titled DRIVING IS DANGEROUS.
The book is rather heavy on the hop-up equipment available from Mini Mania, but does have some helpful advice on shifting, clutching, and general driving. I find it odd that most of the "high performance driving skills" are similar to what is taught at the basic Motorcycle Safety course.
The Mini is getting ready (at about 20,000 miles) for a new set of tires. After having to replace a run-flat after it ran flat, a new set of wheels and tires would not only be cost effective but more fun.
