Finished a five hour marathon of German vs. Russians.
Stalingrad - Joseph Vilsmaier's 1993 story of a cursed group of German soldiers on the cursed campaign to Russia.
and
Cross of Iron - Sam Peckinpah - Almost equally grim story of a German reconnaissance platoon hightailing it the hell out of the USSR.

Should have followed up with Alexander Nevsky.
