Etc. Vol 2

It's been weeks.

And I'm still reading Six Days of War (I'm getting to the good part - Eban and Johnson had their showdown, Egyptian troops on the border, and Tiran blockaded).
And still depressed about the whole persistent vegetative state of the press and politicians in this country.
And still enjoying using my magic TV box to watch "Kumars at No. 42," "Battlestar Glalactica" and "The Daily Show" with the "auto commercial skip" feature. Sweet. Next up is to edit & burn the BSGs to DVD for posterity. I've been saying that for weeks now, but the requisite amount of time (which would include a 2.6.11 kernel upgrade for hot SATA DVD-R action) has not presented itself in a large enough block.

I've also figured how to make torrents of live shows and put them up on easytree. Pretty cool - was able to share the joys of Electric Meat with the world! And Miss Timms!
At the same time, not feeling like a freeloader when I download the Ramones at CBGBs circa 1977 or Elvis in Vegas circa 1972. Next up is to figure out the etree business. Tapers can get anal what with their naming conventions and whatnot. I understand the reasoning behind it, but it doesn't make it easier for someone like me with more ambition than patience. None the less, the SXSW 2003 Waco Brothers show, along with the J. Langford Cactus SBD/AUD mix should make it up there sometime. (As should the Ship and Pilot of SXSW2004).

The wedding thing is taking on juggernaut proportions, looming over the calendar like Mothra over Monster Island. A thousand details sproinging from a simple question. But it will happen, dagnabbit, and it will be cool.
