SUXOR - The continued efforts of Rossi to make MotoGP as boring as F1. Rossi is the greatest man on two wheels in my lifetime, maybe in the history of the sport. This year proved that it was just the bike. So, move on to another challenge, Valentino. Maybe NASCAR.
Runner up: The stultifying performance of the Horns in the October Event in the Cotton Bowl that Shall Not Be Named.

ROXOR - With the impact of leap year, I'm adding one day to 2004 to include the Rose Bowl. Even if Dusty missed it, it was one of the most entertaining ball games I've seen in a long time. But Dusty did make it. Runner up: Some baseball team from New England played pretty well this year.
