The Casting Couch, Karma (San Antonio), June 13, 2005 


A swank grackle monday. 

Ninety miles south of the their usual haunts, past the speed traps of Selma, the Casting Couch huddled together on the swanky yet tiny stage in the well air-conditioned bar called Karma. It was a swell bar, but by the looks of it, more suited for a DJ than a five piece rock and/or roll band such as The Casting Couch. In fact, TCC were so ready to rock they blew up the public address system on sound check. Yet, they grooved, despite persistent technical difficulties, and looked good doing it. I saw just a bit of San Antonio's most fabulous band, The Buttercup - which are not only fine musicians, but friendly fellows.
