Buttercup, The Casting Couch, (Fluffers Union) at the Triple Crown -
Last Friday, I guess
So I forget the dates sometimes.
Last week at the Triple Crown down in San
Marcos. Home of reasonably cheap Mexican beer on tap (they squeeze tiny lime
wedges in em, nice touch). You can still smoke in the bars. And, of course,
the Triple Crown established neutral territory for a Buttercup (S.A.) / Casting
Couch (ATX) smackdown.
Buttercup -
Like 'em better each time I see them.
Though even these skilled men could not change my mind about Carly Simon (even
if the song was written by Neil Young). But their fans dance without underwear,
they illuminate themselves with cool light, and provide a non-stop cavalcade of
top notch pop.
As do the Casting Couch -
Despite the incessant throb of a set
of traditional Led Zeppelin covers in the style of Scott Walker. their fans
maintained full control of their undergarments.
But I had to fly to Detroit at dawn
the next day, so I missed the Fluffer's Union. Dag nab it.
